Summer will be here before we know it! We need volunteers to help out with the annual 4th of July Barbeque that the AWCB and the American Club sponsor. This year's event will again be held at our Clubhouse onSunday, 1 July, starting at 12 noon. If there is enough interest, there will also be a 10 a.m. softball game at St. John's International School. This year our members are to bring desserts (and the AC will bring side dishes/salads). We need a second barbeque - anyone have one? We need people for set-up/decorations, serving food/drinks, clean-up, helping with kids games, etc. Contact Judy Furukawa,  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. AOMDAMemorial Day

The AOMDA, American Overseas Memorial Day Association, organizes ceremonies at three American military cemeteries in Belgium. This year the Memorial Day commemorations will be held the weekend of 26-27 May. The AWCB annually donates wreaths to each of these cemeteries. THESE CEREMONIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ARE WELL WORTH THE EFFORT TO SEE, PLEASE TRY TO ATTEND ONE OF THESE EXCEPTIONALLY MOVING TRIBUTES.

Can you house a "stray" Yale Alley Cat? The Yale Alley Alley Cats, an acapella group from Yale University, will be performing in Brussels on Tuesday, 15 May. They need volunteers to house them (12 young men in total) for the nights of 15-16 May. Hosts will be invited to performance at the U.S. Embassy. If you can help out, please contact Ryder Billings, Tour Manager | Yale Alley Cats, www.yalealleycats.com.
