Workshop for Expat Spouses:
ANATOMY of FRIENDSHIP
Duration: 3 hours
Participants: 4-8
Cost: 20€
Do you find it harder to make friendships in adult age and especially abroad? Relocation is a difficult life transition and it is a new milestone even for friendships. It can easily happen that you have all possible people around you but not true friends. So what actually makes deeper connection between people?
According to the Harward psychiatrist, Rober Waldinger, the two secrets of a happy life are the QUALITY and CLOSENESS of connections. Reliable and deeper friendships are essential to our mental health and wellbeing.
This workshop, on researches and studies was successfully introduced in 2015 in several expat groups in Brussels. It helps to gain clarity about network building, you can count on. It will introduce and explain you the “friendship formula” and “friendship categories”.
What will you gain from the workshop: a plan to understand your own relationships, and how to develop connections.
How we will do it: Introduction into the theory. Discuss about our own experience, inspire each other, design your own action plan.
