LKFF Art gallery, an established gallery in the center of Brussels is moving to a superb new space in Beersel, just outside Brussels. For the opening group show, more than 10 artists from Belgium and beyond are invited to present their works around the theme of "presence".
In the exhibition, the artists explore through a variety of media - sculpture, taxidermy, photography, drawing, painting - how the pandemic has forced us to re-think the notion of presence, be it physical, spiritual, mental or any other kind of presence.
At the invitation of LKFF, Red Moon Art Incubator will present the latest works of Shui-Lyn White, sino-british female artist based in Cape Town, South Africa. Shui-Lyn is a painter printmaker, using the technic of monotype to produce unique works. She experienced the lockdowns in Johannesburg, and had to drive a 14 hours journey across the country to go back to her studio in Cape Town. Her recent works are an account of that unique journey of discovery of her country and of herself.
