Erasmus of Rotterdam was an influential Humanist scholar, whose 16th century translations of the New Testament helped pave the way for the Protestant Reformation.

The Erasmus House museum showcases 16th-century artwork, furniture and decorative objects, as well as historic archives and early copies of Erasmus' work. It's housed in the former complex of the Collegial Church of Saint Peter and Saint Guidon, where Erasmus stayed in 1521. The visit includes the former Anderlecht Beguinage (Beginhof) and the medicinal garden.

The museum is accessible by car and by Metro line 5 to station St. Guidon. Club members who are interested in taking public transit together may meet at Gare Centrale at 9:30. Standard admission is only 1.25 Euro!
